Lemon Oreo Jello Mousse Cake Recipe For Easter Day 2024

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 3 ounce box lemon Jello
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 containers lemon Oreos (see note)
  • 16 graham crackers (see note)

Instructions:

  • Cream cheese should be beaten in the bowl of an electric mixer until it obtains a light and fluffy consistency. Mix the lemon Jelly with the hot water using a whisk, and then gradually incorporate it into the cream cheese.
  • After switching to the whisk attachment, continue beating the ingredients until it is completely blended and there are no lumps left.
  • After the mixture has reached room temperature, begin to incorporate the Cool Whip and lemon zest by stirring them together.

  • You should line a pan that is 9 inches by 13 inches with foil, making sure that it extends all the way up the sides, so that you will have something to grip onto after the cake is done.
  • To begin, the bottom of the pan should be covered with a layer of lemon Oreo cookies. After soaking each one in the milk for a few seconds, arrange them in the pan until they are as closely packed together as possible; it is acceptable for there to be gaps on the sides or ends.
  • One-third of the mousse mixture should be spread on top of the Oreo cookies. Place another row of Oreo cookies that have been dipped in milk or graham crackers that have not been dipped in milk.

  • The last layer of Oreos or graham crackers, together with the remaining mousse, should be used to finish the dessert.
  • The cake should be chilled for at least two hours in order to set. Whenever you are ready to serve the cake, take hold of the ends of the foil and carefully remove it from the pan and place it on a cutting board.
  • Slice, platter, and top with lemon Oreos that have been crushed or cut in half by hand.
