S'mores Bars are enjoyable with a baked graham cracker crust, fluffy marshmallows, and melted chocolate bars. Layers provide a warm, gooey treat that tastes like a campfire favorite at home!
INGREDIENTS
– 1¼ cup all-purpose flour (150g)– 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (120g)– 1 teaspoon baking powder– ½ teaspoon salt– ½ cup unsalted butter softened (113g)– ⅔ cup packed light brown sugar (147g)– 1 large egg– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract– 1 (7-oz) container marshmallow crème– 2 (1.55-ounce/43g ) Hersey’s chocolate bars or ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips (90g)
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oven to 350°F. Fully line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease it. Mix flour, graham cracker crumbs, salt, and baking powder in a medium basin.
Step 1
Beat butter and sugar at medium speed in a medium basin or stand mixer bowl with the paddle attachment for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy. Stop to scrape bowl sides as needed.
Step 2
Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Add the flour mixture and beat on low speed until incorporated, scraping bowl sides once.
Step 3
Press half the dough into the pan bottom. Put marshmallow crème on top. Make a uniform layer of crème with a greased spatula.
Step 4
Sprinkle chocolate bar chunks over the crème layer. Add little bits of remaining dough to the chocolate and crème.
Step 5
Bake until marshmallow crème puffs and dough turns golden brown, 20–25 minutes. Wait to cut bars once pan cools fully.
