These wonderful Pecan Spice Muffins are made with a combination of spices and pecans, which are both crunchy and flavorful.

INGREDIENTS

– 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar – 1/4 cup (50g) firmly packed light brown sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger – 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice – 1/8 teaspoon ground clove – 3/4 cup (170g) sour cream – 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled – 2 tablespoons milk – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup (120g) chopped pecan – turbinado sugar, optional

Warm the oven up to 400°F. Clean and grease a normal muffin pan with 12 cups, or use paper liners to line it.

Step 1

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves in a large basin. In the middle, make a well.

Step 2

Mix the sour cream, butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla in a different bowl. Add to the well in the flour mix and stir just until everything is mixed together.

Step 3

Add the nuts and mix them in. You can save some nuts to put on top of the muffins if you want to.

Step 4

Fill each muffin cup about two thirds of the way to the top with batter, which should take about three tablespoons.

Step 5

Add some chopped nuts and a pinch of turbinado sugar to the top of each muffin. For 12 to 16 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.

Step 6

Let the muffins cool for about 10 minutes on a wire rack in the pan before moving them to another rack to finish cooling.
