Glazed Blueberry Cream Cheese Biscuits Recipe

For a special breakfast or lunch, these sweet Glazed Blueberry Cream Cheese Biscuits are just what you need.  

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE BISCUITS: – 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, softened and cut into 1/2-inch cube – 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, softened and cut into 1/2-inch cube – 1/2 cup (119ml) milk – 3 to 4 ounces (85 to 113g) blueberries, rinsed and dried FOR THE GLAZE: – 1 cup (110g) confectioners' sugar, sifted – 1 to 2 tablespoons milk

MAKE BISCUITS: Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with silicone or parchment.  

Step 1 

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add butter and cream cheese. Mix with a pastry blender, fork, or fingertips until incorporated.  

Step 2

Mix in the milk until the dough comes together. Mix in blueberries gently. Place dough on lightly floured surface. Make a 3/4-inch dough circle.*  

Step 3

Use a 2-inch circular biscuit cutter to cut biscuits. Continue cutting biscuits after gathering the dough.  

Step 4

Put the biscuits in the pan. They might be close for softer sides or far apart for crisper sides. Bake till golden brown, 14–16 minutes.  

Step 5

MAKE GLAZE: Mix confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon milk. Mix in more milk slowly until the glaze reaches the right consistency. Dip or drizzle the glaze over the biscuit tops.
