Berry Cream Cheese Pastry Swirls Recipe

Berry Cream Cheese Pastry Swirls are delicious and easy to prepare. They blend cream cheese, jam, coconut, and almonds in a rolled pastry.  


FOR THE PASTRIES: – 1 17.3-ounce (490g) box frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed – 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, at room temperature – 6 tablespoons jam, such as blueberry or raspberry – 3/4 cup (90g) finely chopped toasted nuts, such as pecans or hazelnut – 3/4 cup (63g) sweetened flaked coconut, toasted FOR THE GLAZE: – 1/2 cup (55g) confectioners' sugar, sifted – 2 to 4 teaspoons milk

TO MAKE PASTRIES: Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 18 standard muffin cups well.  

Step 1 


Open one puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Form a 10-inch square.   

Step 2

Apply half the cream cheese to the pastry. Spread half the jam on cream cheese. Sprinkle half the nuts and coconut on jam.  

Step 3

Roll puff pastry into a log. Cut evenly into 9 pieces. Repeat with another puff pastry sheet.  

Step 4

Slice the pastries and place in pans. Bake till golden brown, 24 minutes. Let pastries cool in pans for 10 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to finish cooling.  

Step 5

MAKE GLAZE: Mix confectioners' sugar and 2 tablespoons milk. Mix in little amounts of milk until the glaze is the right consistency. Glaze the pastries.
