Seasoned Chex Mix crunch is excellent. This classic snack is wonderful for movie night, campfires, and lunch. Store-bought versions are convenient, but handmade ones let you pick ingredients and flavors.

INGREDIENTS

– 3 cups Corn Chex cereal – 3 cups Rice Chex cereal – 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal – 1 cup pretzel twist – 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and peanuts) – 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted – 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce – 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt – 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon onion powder – 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika – 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a bit of heat)

INSTRUCTIONS

For easy cleanup, preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Step 1

Mix Corn Chex, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts in a big bowl. Toss lightly to combine.

Step 2

Mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

Step 3

Pour the seasoned butter over the cereal and pretzels. Use a spatula to evenly coat everything. Evenly distribute the coated mixture on the baking sheet.

Step 4

Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent scorching. Remove the Chex Mix from the oven and let it cool on the baking sheet once it turns golden brown and crispy.

Step 5

After cooling, store Chex Mix in an airtight container or zip-top bag. It can last two weeks at room temperature, but this is doubtful!

Step 6

Bring homemade Chex Mix to parties or snack on it whenever you want something crunchy and tasty.
