Sweet And Savory Club Sandwich Recipe

Anyone else anticipates Thanksgiving leftovers more than the meal? As kids, our parents seemed to be masters at repurposing leftovers into new meals. I mean, eating Thanksgiving dinner twice is fun, but making something new? Much better.

– 4 slices bacon – 1 teaspoon honey – 2 teaspoons brown sugar – 1 cup cranberrie – 3 tablespoons sugar – 1 teaspoon lemon juice – 3 slices white bread – ½ cup spinach – 4 slices tomato on-the-vine – 2 slices Swiss cheese – 3 slices sliced turkey

The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Using aluminum foil, line a baking sheet.

Each piece of bacon should have a drizzle of honey applied to it. Brown sugar should be sprinkled on each individual strip of bacon.

Bake for fifteen to twenty minutes, or until done. During this time, you should prepare the cranberry sauce.

A small saucepan should be used to combine the cranberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Increase the heat to medium-low and bring to a simmer.

About ten minutes later, the jam will be ready. Sugar can be added to taste if so desired. Please toast the bread.

For the purpose of putting together the sandwiches, spread cranberry jam on one side of each individual piece of bread.

Place some tomato slices on top of one piece of bread, and then add some spinach. Next, add the second piece of bread, and then add the bacon.

Apply cranberry jam to the second slice of bread. Add Swiss cheese to the second slice of bread, then turkey.

Add the last third of bread. Serve with toothpicks on each side and diagonal cuts.
