Raspberry Cream Cheese Buns Recipe

Easy raspberry cream cheese buns use cream cheese and your preferred fruit preserves. A delightful breakfast or coffee buddy!  


– 1 cup + 3/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 8 ounces cream cheese, softened – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup granulated sugar – 2 large eggs, at room temperature – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 cup milk – 1/4 to 1/3 cup raspberry preserve

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 20 regular muffin cups*. Mix 1 cup flour, baking soda, powder, and salt. Set aside.  

Step 1 


In a medium-speed electric mixer, beat cream cheese, butter, and sugar on low speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla.  

Step 2

Lower mixer speed. Three portions of flour mixture and two portions of milk are added. Mix in the remaining 3/4 cup flour until mixed.  

Step 3

Fill muffin cups half full with batter. Add a dollop of preserves and mix into the batter with a tiny knife.  

Step 4

Bake until a pick inserted into the center comes out clean, 18–22 minutes. Do not overbake.
