Quick And Easy Brown Butter Shrimp Pasta Recipe

– 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt – 4 cups (8 ounces) medium or large shell pasta – 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter – 1 cup cooked shrimp, rinsed and patted dry – 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard – 2 tablespoons whole milk – 2 loosely packed cups shredded white cheddar

A heavy-bottomed pot with 1 quart water and 2 teaspoons salt should boil. Boil pasta and cook according to package directions.

Over medium heat, add butter to a large pan. Stir occasionally and scrape browned bits from the pan with a wooden spoon.

Add shrimp after butter foams and browns. Warm for a few minutes, then set aside. Mix mustard, milk, and shredded cheese in a large bowl.

Transfer cooked pasta to a mixing bowl with a slotted spoon. Don't worry about adding water. Add shrimp and butter.

Stir quickly, adding pasta water to loosen the sauce. Taste and add salt if needed after mixing. Serve now.
