Gingerbread Crinkle Cookies Recipe 


The inside is chewy from the warm spices, and the outside is sweet and crinkly from the powdered sugar.



For the Cookies: – 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour – 1 ⅓ cups dark brown sugar packed – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon – 3 teaspoons ground ginger – ¾ teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon baking soda – ½ teaspoon ground clove – 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed – ½ cup molasses unsulphured – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – ¼ cup milk For the Coating: – ½ cup powdered sugar – ½ cup granulated sugar


Cover two sheet pans with parchment. Put them aside.


Step 1

Cream butter, brown sugar, and molasses in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a large bowl with a handheld mixer until light and fluffy. 


Step 2

This should take 3 minutes. Scrape bowl sides and bottom with rubber spatula.Just mix milk and vanilla extract.


Step 3

Add flour, cinnamon, ginger, salt, baking soda, and cloves simultaneously. Combine ingredients on low. Crumbled dough will come together.


Step 4

A 3-tablespoon cookie scoop makes dough balls. Roll each ball in granulated and powdered sugar until covered. Place coated balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.


Step 5

Use a cup or spatula to gently press the cookies.


Step 6

Cover the baking sheets and refrigerate an hour.Start by heating your oven to 375°F (175°C).Baking cookies takes 10-12 minutes.Serve cookies after 10 minutes of cooling.
