INGREDIENTS

– 2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafer – 1 cup finely chopped pecan – 1 cup powdered sugar (120g) – 2 tablespoons cocoa powder – ½ teaspoon salt – ⅓ cup dark rum – 2 tablespoons honey

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring the wafer crumbs, nuts, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together in a large bowl.

Step 1

Mix the rum and honey in a small bowl with a whisk until the honey is fully mixed in.

Step 2

Mix the dry ingredients with a spatula after adding the rum mixture. Do this until the dry ingredients are evenly moistened and the mixture stays together when pressed.

Step 3

If you find a dry spot, just add a splash of rum and mix it in. To make a ball that's just over an inch across, take out enough of the mixture with a tablespoon.

Step 4

Make smooth balls by rolling it out in the palms of your clean hands. To cover the rum balls, roll them in more cocoa powder, salt, wafer crumbs, or nuts.

Step 5

Rum balls can be saved for up to three months or kept in a container that doesn't let air in for up to two weeks. They taste better after a few days of being stored.
