Delicious Apple Crisp For Two Recipe

No hours of prep or leftovers are needed for a warm, comfortable dessert. On nice days, this Apple Crisp For Two is perfect for a sweet treat without a hefty dessert. 

INGREDIENTS

For the Filling: – 2 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and thinly sliced – 2 tablespoons granulated sugar – 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg – 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For the Topping: – 1/4 cup old-fashioned oat – 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons brown sugar – 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small piece – Pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter or spray two ramekins and set aside. Stir sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. 

Step 1

Mix until apples are covered. Evenly fill the ramekins with apple mixture.

Step 2

Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt in another basin. Use your fingers or a fork to mix the cold butter pieces into the dry ingredients until they resemble coarse crumbs.

Step 3

Divide the oat topping evenly between the two ramekins of apples. Put the ramekins on a baking sheet to catch drips and put them in the preheated oven.

Step 4

Bake for 25–30 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are soft and bubbling. Serve the ramekins when they cool for a few minutes from the oven.

Step 5

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Your favorite person will love Apple Crisp For Two!
