Crispy Pork Wontons Recipe

The crunch and flavour of wontons make them a popular Asian food. Golden shells and seasoned pork make crispy pork wontons irresistible.Make these tasty treats at home to impress friends and family with your cooking skills.


– 1/2 pound ground pork – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 2 green onions, finely chopped – 1 tablespoon soy sauce – 1 teaspoon sesame oil – 1 teaspoon grated ginger – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon salt – Wonton wrapper – Vegetable oil


Ground pork, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt should be mixed in a bowl. Mix well to incorporate all ingredients.

Prepare the Filling 

Put wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface. Put a teaspoon of pork filling in each wrapper's centre. Moisten the wrappers' edges with water, then fold them to make a triangle or wonton shape. Seal the filling by pressing the edges hard.

Assemble the Wontons 

Put vegetable oil in a deep pot or pan and heat it over medium-high heat. Make sure there is enough oil to cover the wontons before you fry them.

Heat the Oil 

Batch-add wontons to 350°F/175°C oil. Avoid overcrowding the pan for even cooking. Golden brown and crispy wontons take 2-3 minutes to cook. Slotted spoon them out of the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Fry the Wontons 

Sprinkle chopped green onions or sesame seeds over the crispy pork wontons on a platter. Hot with your favourite dipping sauce, like sweet chilli or soy sauce with rice vinegar.
