Baked Praline French Toast is a great breakfast that you can make ahead of time. The pecan praline flavours make it impossible to avoid.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE BREAD:– 8 large eggs, lightly beaten– 1 cup (237ml) milk– 1/2 cup (118ml) heavy cream– 1 tablespoon brown sugar– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract– 8 1-inch thick slices French bread*FOR THE TOPPING:– 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter– 3/4 cup (150g) firmly packed light or dark brown sugar– 1/2 cup (118ml) maple syrup– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 3/4 cup (90g) chopped pecan
TO MAKE BREAD:
Mix eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, and vanilla. Put a cup of egg mixture in a greased 9"x 13"x 2" baking pan.

INSTRUCTIONS
Lay the bread slices flat in the pan. Pour the remaining egg mixture on bread. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
Step 2
MAKE TOPPING:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Put butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt in a small pot.
Step 3
Stir regularly over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth. Mix in pecans. Pour topping on cooled bread.
Step 4
Bake 30–35 minutes until the bread is brown and a thin knife dipped into the egg mixture comes out clean.
