Baked Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos Recipe


Baked cream cheese chicken taquitos are healthier than frozen ones. These quick taquitos can be frozen and reheated!


SERVINGS: 8 TAQUITOS – 8-10 flour or corn tortillas* – 1 cup shredded chicken – 2 ounces cream cheese , softened (reduced fat will work)* – 1/2 cup shredded Monterey-Jack cheese – 1 clove garlic , minced (1/2 teaspoon) – 1/4 cup salsa verde – 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin – salt and pepper to taste



Heat the oven to 400°F. Spread foil or parchment paper on a baking sheet and set aside.


Step 1

Blend chicken, cream cheese, Monterey-Jack cheese, garlic, salsa verde, and ground cumin in a large bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.


Step 2

Place 2 tablespoons chicken mixture in each tortilla. Roll each tortilla tightly and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Using toothpicks can hold tortillas together.


Step 3

After 15-17 minutes, broil for a minute or two to crisp. Serve now.
