Apple Cider Donut Cake Recipe 


The cinnamon and apple flavors in this delicious bundt cake really pop. Fresh apple cider and applesauce were used to make it.



FOR THE PAN GOOP – ¼ cup unsalted butter softened – ¼ cup all purpose flour For the cake – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 cup brown sugar packed – 1 cup vegetable oil – 4 eggs at room temperature – 1 cup unsweetened applesauce at room temperature – 1 cup apple cider at room temperature – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon nutmeg – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 Tablespoon baking powder – ¼ cup powder sugar


Start with a 325-degree oven. Make pan goop by mixing flour and softened butter in a small bowl. A pastry brush should coat the pan's sides and crevices with goop. Set aside.


Step 1

Mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Set aside.


Step 2

Mix sugar, brown sugar, and oil in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment for 2 minutes on medium speed.


Step 3

For 2 minutes, mix eggs and sugar on medium speed. On low, mix vanilla and applesauce.


Step 4

Add ⅓ of the flour mixture and half of the apple cider to the mixer on low speed. After mixing almost completely, add ⅓ of the flour mixture, the remaining apple cider, and the remaining flour mixture. 


Step 5

Finish mixing without flour streaks. In the bundt pan, bake the batter 50–54 minutes. To check cake doneness, insert a toothpick into the thickest part and remove crumbs.


Step 6

Let the cake cool completely in the bundt pan before transferring it to a large plate, cake board, or cooling rack.Sprinkle powder sugar on top.
